I’ve been plagued by having multiple keys in monotone and doing a merge without specifying one. Well those days are over, drop this in ~/.monotone/monotonerc and edit accordingly:

I did what is said in the other topic (python setup.py build), but when I tested with a friend it still showed the message "libmimic isn't a registered name". And yes, I restarted emesene before testing.
